House collage photos and Friday thoughts....

I thought I would share some collage photos of some work in progress first...

Now, for a collage of my master bedroom (which I am very happy with)

From the time I was a young girl, I wanted to be a wife and mother.  I have done many other things and have worked most of my life...only being a full time homemaker the last couple of years.  It is not a popular life choice esp. since I don't have a bunch of little ones...but I have never been more content than I am right now making our house a home and loving my family.  I am finding joy in making my bed, packing lunches and providing yummy dinners for my guys.  We are blessed, but our pleasures are truly simple and I love it that way!  One more photo and a thought to share on the Friday....

For the last couple of years I have had a significant commute with my son every day for school...to the tune of 2 to 3 hours a day spent in the car.  This has proven to be an annoyance at times, but in a MUCH bigger way a blessing.  It affords me an opportunity to have conversations that would not otherwise take place, I pray and listen to many sermons and the Bible on audio.  It is a season and the Lord has blessed me in it.  It has helped me to be quiet and reflect on the goodness of God in ALL circumstances because there will always be many trials, worries and circumstances competing for my time, energy and attention.  I wanted to share this photo taken with my phone this morning on the way back from dropping him off.  It is not unusual for me to be blessed by the beautiful compositions in the sky that I am observing during my commutes, but  I was particularly struck this morning by the dark clouds juxtaposed by the brilliant light and blue sky peeking through. I don't see this blog as a venue to share my opinions and thoughts about what is going on in the world or to engage in divisive theological debate.  I will only say that truth is truth even if no one believes it, there is hope that is sure and supersedes any trials, pain or conflict.  It is Friday.....but Sunday is coming

May the grace and peace of Christ be with you

  4. I remember those days in the car with my kids- there is something about it that opens up communication, especially when they become the ones driving. It is clear that you have your priorities straight- you are a wise woman. :)
