Blogger's Challenge 149

Happy Friday! Today's challenge was embossing of any I chose to do two kinds on my card.  The background was made with an impressibilities templated that I inked up in a soft yellow.  I backed it with black and adhered it to a So Saffron card base.  I embellished the front with some butterflies (heat embossed and colored), nestability tag/ribbon and sentiment.  I don't love the butterfly placement...but there was some smudged ink that had to be covered up!!
I'm so glad to be a part of this challenge group...I need to motivation to create something lately.  Not to mention, this is one talented group of ladies :-).
Thanks for looking and check out the other challenge cards on the link at the right.

Blogger's Challenge X 2

Here is my submission for this week's blogger's challenge....using blue, organge and moss.  the only moss is in the center of my flower, but no-one saide how much of each color to use.  That's my story and I'm stikin' to it!

I also wanted to post my card from last week's sketch challenge.  I finally made it early this week and never got around to posting it.

Stamping/creating has been on the back-burner for me for the last few weeks.  It is not only the time factor, I just can't seem to get my mojo going with all the stress of the upcoming move.

Sorry for posting so late, I promise I will do better and can't wait to see what the rest of the group has created today.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Blessed day!

The Lord Bless You.....

This is a simple card that I made with one of my favorite sentiment stamps and an embossing folder accented with a bit of ribbon and my favorite embellishment--a butterfly.  Pretty quick and simple, but I think it is striking.  The photography is not great, it is much prettier in person (and not crooked)!  Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Happy Thoughts

I was unable to copy/paste the sketch for this card, but it is for the sweet sunday sketch challenge this week.  I follow Karen Giron and am a fan.  When I saw this week's sketch I knew I had to make this card.  I LOVE this image and have been trying to figure out a layout for it.  I think this one works perfectly!  I paper peirced the tree and leaves, added some crystal effects on the beehive and a glitter pen to the bee wings.  I think it turned out pretty cute.....thanks for looking !

Two for Easter!

This week's Blogger Challenge was for I made two cards one for each of my step children.  One was to be a masculine card...but I can't help myself...pearls and swirls ended up on the card!  I used different stamps from the same set on both cards.  Thanks for looking and I pray that each of you have a Blessed Easter Sunday celebrating the ressurection of Christ!

Teacher's Easter Treats

This is a picture of the little Easter treats I made for my son's teachers.  I picked up these cute little buckets for $1 and filled them with easter grass, pencils, a flower pen (I made), post-it notes and some candy.  I will make the name tags later tonight before sending them to school tomorrow.  I have been wanting to make one of these rediculous flower pens for a while I figured this was the perfect excuse.  Of course I had to keep one ;-).
