Prisma Colored Bird

I wanted to post this card that I made last week using my new prisma pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  I have been anxious to try this technique...and I have a few more images that I need to put into a card soon.  I have no idea what kind of bird would have these colors....but this is just what I came up with!!  I also wanted to use one of these cool stick pins for a while and came up with the idea of adding the pearls at the bottom held in place with a little glossy effects on the last one.   Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Blessings and peace on this Holy week :-).

CPC Sketch Tuesday

http://www.cpcmag.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=558&d=1269912556

Today's card is for the Christian Paper Craft Sketch Tuesda Challenge.  I feel like I have been way out of the loop lately, and hope to be more productive in the card dept. this week.  I used Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla card stock and the patterned paper is from the BG Rasberry Lemonade collection.  Some punches, a little bling and I not only used up some scraps from my desk top, but was able to participate in this week's challenge.  Thanks for looking!

Buzzin By...

Today's card was made for a CAS sketch challenge and an inside out challenge at SCS.  I got to ink up this adorable stamp set for the first time and I was so excited to get some stamping time today.  Things were going great until I stamped the inside of version 1 of this card upside down.  Let me just say that I was slightly annoyed (huge understatement).  I cleaned up my table, left to do errands and re-made it when I came home.  It all worked out for the best in the end because I added texture to the background...and I liked it better!  Thanks for looking :-).

Be Still....

Today's blogger challenge was a skit challenge...I took a slight bit of liberty with it, but think I mostly kept with the spirit of the sketch....that's my story anyway! Overall, I think this card is a little on the boring side, but I got to use a bunch of new products that I have accumulated recently like a new ODB stamp, MS butterfly punch, EK Success border punch and reversed scallop nestie.  Somehow I feel a little less guilty for being obsessed with punches when I get to use them for a card!  TFL :-).

Not your traditional Easter card....

Today's card is for the  Blogger's Challenge "Think Spring".  I stand by that because nothing says spring like Easter...even though I know that these are unorthodox colors!  It just kinda' went that way...it wasn't the original plan, but then again most of my cards aren't!  I embossed my flowers and used re-inkers to color them, cut them out and popped them up on diminsionals.  I added a little glitter to the stems for more bling, rhinestones and shimmer mist on the embossed black paper.  So, this may not traditional easter colors...but I hope you like all the shimmery, glittery, blingy and definitely girlie feel--I do!
Thanks for stopping by!

Precious Friend

I have been in a creative slump for a while, and it was kinda' getting me down.  Today I pulled out some old and new things I love and just put them together without a challenge, sketch, rules etc.  I have to say I am thrilled with the result.  Making this card reminded me of why I started this...it is so fun to create something unique and beautiful.  Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by....and make something today just for fun!

My Craft Space

These are the pictures of my craft space...it is /2 of the guest bedroom in this house.  I am praying for a room to myself when we move so that I can futher organize my stuff and I have plans for a mobile cutting/sewing station already.  So, keep in mind that I only started last summer and that military housing is always temporary.  Even though there are lots of ideas I have to keep improving this space...I love it and being in it.  All things girly and bright cheer me up :-)!  Thanks for taking a look!

Blog Candy!

Here's another peek at the blog candy I am offering up...I added some prima flowers to the mix and there are some blingin'  butterfliesthat didn't seem to make it into the picture. I kept the offering in an "earthy" theme in colors and accessories (except the pearls...I'm from the south...gotta' have pearls)!  Anyhoo....post a comment here or on the craft space photos to follow or any of the blog candy entries and I will enter your name for a random drawing.  One chance for each comment.  Thanks for stopping by and I will draw and post by the end of the day tommorrow!

Bloggers Challenge Birthday

I made two takes on today's blogger's challenge.  I love this new flower image and wanted to highlight it as a background stamp.  I think both cards are graphic, but in a very different way.  Thanks for stopping by....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!

One binder contains all my cuttlebug dies and embossing folders along with a few of my SU sizzlits.  My Spellbinder Nestabilities are housed in two of thse hard plastic cases with magnetic sheets attached.  The other binder is still a work in progress with my SU stamp sets in alphabetical order.  I did not make copies of most of my sets when I first got them, so I have to stamp each page...a little tedious but worth the effort.  I intend to copy all of my new sets before mounting them to save this step.  I enjoy being organized and able to easily see my "stuff".  I find it makes time in my craft room more relaxing and fun...which was the whole point in the first place :-).  Since I haven't received any feedback, I will not do anything with blog candy until tommorrow.   I will post photos of my craft space/guest bedroom then and hope that someone is interested in some freebies.  I have added to the stash...I will photograph that as well.  Be blessed and thanks for stopping by!

Big Shot Dies and Card Stock organization

Today's pictures are of my filing cabinet...what's so great about that?  Everything to me!  I started by using the metal front to stick my movers and shapers dies to and organized my other Big Shot dies in a basket on top.  I have a small top drawer for misc items and then the file drawers...that is what I am most excited about.  I read several blogs about how to organize your paper and wasn't completely satisfied with plastic baggies or other ideas I saw that worked perectly for others.  I wanted something more taylored to me.  I cam accross file folders while looking for more hanging folders to house my SU card stock.  AHA!  I cut 1" off the ends and they fit like a glove inside the hanging folder.  I labeled them to match so that I can pull it out and don't lose track of which folder goes where.  This was an investment of time and money, but I LOVE having my paper labeled, organized and at my fingertips!  What do you think?

Blog Candy Post #1

This is the first picture of a unique to me way to organize my stamping "stuff".  I had several individual wooden stamps (I can't resist the $1 finds) and I wanted a way to see them so that I would actually use them more.  I told my DH what I wanted...even drew a rough sketch, and he made it for me!  As you can see, it could've been bigger.....lol!

Spring!

Finally...I am playing at the PPA again--YEAH!  This is for this week's spring challenge there.  What could be more like spring than new growth leaves, birds in trees and pastel flowers?  This just kind of came together in  a fun way...hope you like it and thanks for looking :-).

Blog Candy....

Ok...so this is my first offering of blog candy, so forgive me if it is a little sparse.  I did NOT get to go to Archivers (a totally awesome scrapbook store)...so I am just going to go for it with what I have.  Here's a picture of the offering minus one unphotgraphed surprise extra.  It includes: the Of the Earth stamp set, alpine ribbon roll, a package of self adhesive pearls, rhinestones and a pad of clasic ink in soft suede plus one surprise ;-).

NOW  to get a chance at this I  will post pictures of 3 different (unique to me) organizational tips this week.  Leave me some love or constructive comments and I will randomly draw a name on Friday to send you some treats!

First photo will post tommorrow....thanks for stopping by!

Oh, if you want to comment on the candy I'll throw those in for the drawing also :-).

Good Times...

I made this card for the CPC Case Artist Sat. chellenge this week.  Here is a link to the inspiration card:

I changed the image from purses to hats because I had a great time trying on some outragesously southern bell kind of hats during my recent trip to Charleston.  That would be my idea of a great girl's day out!  TFL!

Blog Candy

I did not forget!  I have a few things set aside...but the opportunity to go to an Archiver's store has presented itself (for tomorrow), and I was hoping to not only score some loot for myself, but to add something really juicy to my offering for my followers.  Stay tuned, I PROMISE I will make it worth while ;-)!

Bloggers Challenge 141

This is for today's blogger challenge using green and white.  I wanted to do something besides shamrocks...so I inked up my cute little frog who longs to be a prince ;-).  I used PTI white for my card base and layered it with Old Olive & OO DSP.  Some nesties, ribbon and a touch of bling finish it off.  I look forward to seeing the rest of the creations from the group today :-).  TFL!

Butterfly thank you

Here's my first card that I had stashed to post...I will save my other one for tomorrow in case I don't get anything else made!
This was the card I made for my SU swap last month.  I used a favorite color combo of mine--Old Olive and Not Quite Navy and many of the dies and punches that I have accumulated.
Thanks for stopping by and I will post more details about blog candy later in the week. :-)

Birthday in Charleston

OK...this is not a great picture, but the only one we managed to take of us in Charleston this last weekend.  I love that city...SO pretty and the food is yummy!  We enjoyed a short trip of shopping, touring and eating while my son Justin was able to spend time with an old air force friend (having Star Wars battles and such).  It was a nice get-a-way even though it was a last minute rushed trip.

I have been out of my crafting mode for the last couple of weeks, but will post a few cards that I have not previously to hold me over until I get craft time again.  Sooner than later I am hoping ;-).

The big news is I made 15 followers--YAHOO!!  To celebrate I will post some pictures later this week of my craft space organization projects I have been working on and give away some blog candy....so stay tuned!!
