I had my card ready for the challenge yesterday, but ran out of time to post it!  This is my take on the sketch using this cute little chickie that I picked up for a buck.  It looks like spring to me!  Thanks for looking :-)!

Love Grows

This is my submission for today's Blogger Challenge--Valentine's theme.  I used Real Red for the card base and some patterned paper left over from Christmas as my background.  Then I used a Lizzie Ann stamp inked up in Real Red and covered with grass from a MS punch.  I added dimension with these cute button hearts and embroidery thread.  I finished it with a sentiment from Gina K on a nestability tag tied off with cool new ribbon I picked up at JoAnn's yesterday.  This is my favorite kind of that utilizes elements from ALL of the great stuff I have accumulated.  I was a little stressed to try and come up with something different after seeing tons of beautiful Valentines cards all over the net.  I am happy with the end result and hope you like it too!  Thanks for looking and Happy Valentines Day!

Cheep, Cheep, Cheep

This is a quick and fun card for the SCS sketch challenge this week.  I used the Cheep Talk stamp set (another favorite of mine that had been unused until now), along with some fun new paper from the sweet pea stack.  Hope you like it!

This card is a compilation of about 4 stamps sets and multiple mess ups! I had the desire to stamp something with I started playing with layering a meadow scene.  It was working fine until one of the stamps I used had not been cleaned from its last use...and the yellow did not look so nice.  I was going to just toss the piece away and chalk it up to practice..then I noticed there was a yellow and purple color challenge out in blog land.  I thought I can salvage this piece!  I bravely cut the image down and stamped a sentiment on top...which smudged.  I decided that I could cover that with a butterfly in flight and make it look intentional.  OK, now a little bling...why not add a little more yellow to ensure that I am on target with the challenge.  I am not usually a fan of what I consider to be "floating" borders, but I see them all the time so I went for it.  I decided to quit at that point because I couldn't place ribbon in any way that I thought added to the card.  I was happy to be able to  use this image and I logged on to the challenge only to realize that there was a sketch involved also. I get a chuckle from myself when I realize how hard I have worked on something only to realize I completely misunderstood the challenge.  That has happened more often that I will admit ;-).  Hope you like my blooper meadow card.

Inspired Passion

I made this card for the Tuesday Sketch challenge at Christian Paper Crafts today.  The circle circus set is another one that I love...and haven't used until now.  I added a sentiment from the Inspired by Nature set, layered it over a CB embossed background and adhered it to an Old Olive base.  This is a pretty straight forward and simple card and I think it turned out nice.  Whew...I've made a couple of stinkers lately!!  Hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Fresh Cuts

After going through all of my stamps yesterday, I  pulled this one out to use.  I have always liked this image and jumped at the chance to purchase this set from Nikki....months ago.  I decided it was time to just ink it up already!  I used a CB embossing folder for the background, and layered crushed curry and old olive.  The main image was embossed with old olive and I used a couple different shades to color in the flower images.  A few embosslit butterflies and ribbon to finish.  I left off a sentiment so that I could just use this for whatever occasion I choose.  TFL!

Mojo Thanks

A quick card for today's Mojo Monday challenge.  This is definitely not a layout I would come up with...which is why it's fun to play sketch challenges.  I didn't get much of a chance to do any stamping over the weekend, and spent most of the day re-organizing my craft I wanted to put something together fairly quickly just to get my creative juices going again.  Thanks for looking :0).

Love You Balloon

This card was created for my first Blogger's Challenge Group!  The challenge this week was to use red, black and white.  I used the sweet centers stamp set for the balloon basket and the large heart punch (X3) for the balloon.  The sentiment came from the short and sweet set.  It is hard to see in the picture, but the white background is embossed with hearts.  I finished it off  with black gingham ribbon.  Thanks for looking :-)!
